Joyce Anne Moser, age 85, was a beloved mother, grandmother, cherished friend, and devout Christian. Her life was devoted to the health and well-being of her family, friends, patients, church and her community. She graduated from Cabarrus Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1960 where she earned her Registered Nurse (RN) Certificate. She went on to complete her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Psychology at Pfeiffer University in NC in 1964. She attended the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University from 1975-1976, earning her Master of Science in Nursing and Nursing Education with a 4.0 GPA. From 1995 - 1999, she attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she earned her Post-Master's Certificate in Adult/Gerontological and became a Nurse Practitioner (APRN), also with a 4.0 GPA.

Her family and friends were proud beyond words of her life accomplishments. She was featured on the cover of Nursing Spectrum in October 2003 in an article on the Gamma Knife and neurological illness. In retirement, she volunteered for her church, delivered meals for Meals on Wheels, and was an active and integral member of her Yoga and Book Clubs. She also earned her "Master Gardener" certification in retirement, and loved to take on gardening projects around her home and volunteer with Arboretum at Tanglewood. Joyce was described as "Kind to a fault", "Generous with her time", and "She would do anything to help someone in need".

Joyce is survived by her son, Joe A. Williams of Jacksonville, FL, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Management and Computer Science, and is president of tech firm RTP Network Services Inc. in Jacksonville, Fl; her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Gaeto, who holds a Master's degree in Education and lives in Winston Salem, NC; and her grandchildren, Alex and Evin Scribner of Winston Salem, NC. She has numerous nieces, nephews and her sisters-in-law who she adored as well. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Glenn Moser and Angie Elizabeth Allen Moser, and her dear brothers Harold Dean Moser of Knoxville, Tennessee and Kenneth Allen Moser of Winston Salem, NC.

Joyce's service will be held July 23rd at 1:00pm at Knollwood Baptist Church in Winston Salem, NC, followed by a reception from 2:00 - 3:30. Joyce will be missed beyond words. The size of our loss is the size of our love, and that love is infinite. May she rest in eternal peace.
